How do I get started?

It’s easy to join the Co-op and get set up with a participating heating oil supplier to start saving money today!

Once you join, we will send your information to our heating oil supplier in your area and have them contact you. You then have total control over the details of your service, you will also have the backing of Citizen’s Oil Co-op.

Once you’ve set up your service you just receive oil like you would with any other company only at the Co-op’s discounted rate.

Why should I join?

For over 30 years, the Co-op has been negotiating competitive heating oil rates for its members throughout the state of Connecticut.  Since then, we have extended our services to all of Rhode Island and parts of New York and Massachusetts. Each of our heating oil suppliers offer the same flexibility with service plans but at a lower rate!

Automatic Delivery – You may now receive the convenience of automatic delivery. No more phone calls to make.

Full Service – Participating companies offer 24 hour a day service 7 days a week.

Competitive pricing – Our prices are running on average about 40 to 50 cents below the state’s average price for heating oil! Click here to see a week-by-week comparison of our rates to the state average.

Billing - Members are billed by their companies and have time to pay their bill. No more having to have a check in hand to get an oil delivery. You can rest easy knowing that you always have someone to call if any problem arises with your burner. They also offer service contracts at competitive prices.

Budget Billing – Participating companies provide budget billing plans where you can spread your payment over the year and not be hit with high bills in the winter months. Budget billing programs are set up before Sept 1st.
